Digital Publishing Assistant





The Social Edge is looking for a reliable Digital Publishing Assistant with incredible attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a fondness for data.


 

Who you are

 

A detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate person who can pay incredible amounts of attention to data entry and data recording in a high-octane, time-sensitive industry. Timeliness, extraordinary attention to detail, and little-to-no errors are a must. An outgoing, communicative, and spontaneous team player who’s ready to roll their sleeves up and get in on the ground floor of our growing social media enterprise.

Essential Functions of the job include:
  1. Queueing and scheduling posts for social media shares across numerous Facebook pages
  2. Reviewing article set ups for errors and clarity
  3. Updating daily ‘Grab Bag’ document with data and information
  4. Sourcing digital stories for publication
  5. Data retrieval and recording
  6. Sharing and cross-posting videos on Facebook
Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role requires use of a Mac computer.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position is largely sedentary and requires using a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, and see. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Preferred Education
  1. High school diploma or GED or comparable experience.
Preferred Experience
  1. Familiarity with Facebook Pages.
  2. Proofreading experience.
  3. Knowledge of Google Sheets.
  4. Broad knowledge of current viral media and trending topics
  5. Comfortable on all social media platforms
  6. Comfortable learning new technology.
